Raheem Sterling Reveals Massive Surprise He Got From Pep Guardiola That Made Him Leave Manchester City

Former Manchester City star, Raheem Sterling has said that it came as a ‘massive surprise’ to him when the club’s manager, Pep Guardiola began dropping him on the bench.

Sterling was suddenly reduced to the bench for large parts of last season despite putting up a strong performance whenever he was on the pitch.

“It was a big surprise [losing his starting role].

“A massive surprise. A change of events all of a sudden,” Sterling opened up to reporters on Thursday 11th-August-2022.

The England international completed a shock move from Manchester City to Chelsea this summer in order to remain in contention for a place in the England team for the 2022 World Cup coming up in November.
