Who was the first Male African Footballer to score and reach his 50th UEFA Champions League goal?

Mohamed Salah; Full mame: Mohamed Salah Hamed Mahrous Ghaly (Born 15th June 1992). He scored his 50th UEFA Champions League goal on the 62nd minute on Wednesday, 18th-March-2026 in a 2nd Leg UEFA Champions League match at Anfield against Turkish side Galatasaray, making him the first male African footballer to reach the milestone. The goal was assisted by Florian Richard Wirtz, a German footballer who played as an attacking midfielder as at the time this post was first published. The 1st leg of this game ended 1:0 on Tuesday 10th-March-2026 in favour of Turkish side Galatasaray with Victor Osimhen's penalty kick on the 16th minute of the game.
