GUNMEN KILL SOLDIER AND DRIVER AND KIDNAP FOREIGNER IN ONDO STATE

Gunmen, on Wednesday, May 25, kidnapped an expatriate at Ogbonmo region of Ijebu-Owo in Owo local government area of Ondo State.
The gunmen also killed a soldier, who was said to be a security escort, and driver of the victim.
The identity of the victims had not been revealed at the time of filing this report.
The incident occurred at about 5.30 pm on Wednesday, according to a source.
The source said, “The man we call ‘white engineer has been kidnapped,’ while his driver and his security soldier were killed.
”The gunmen fired many shots into the air to disperse the people around.”
The Police Public Relations Officer of the State Command, Funmilayo Odunlami, verified the incident and stated that efforts were ongoing to rescue the victim.
